Do I need my own bike?
Yes . We take the view that you will feel most comfortable on your own bike, and understand its ride characteristics. Unfortunately, we are unable to organise bike rental.
Do you provide mechanical support?
We do provide basic roadside maintenance e.g puncture repair.

Do I need insurance for the ride?
We recommend that you are insured personally for the ride . Our ride leader Kate is fully insured to lead rides under coverage obtained through British Cycling.
What sort of clothing and equipment do you recommend?
Clothing is down to personal taste, but good quality cycling apparel, gloves and padded shorts are recommended. We insist on Cycle Helmets being used at all times. Also recommended are good waterproofs for what is after all Great British weather. For the evenings, and off bike ,we recommend smart casual clothing to relax and kick back in. Please also bring a basic puncture repair kit and the correct sized innertube.
What sort of pace do you expect to be travelling at?
The ride is not a race and in general terms the pace will be set by clients, weather, wind and terrain. In general terms 12 mph average would be a good social ride, and 15 mph a more challenging average.
How does the Wine tasting work?
This element is subject to timing and weather conditions, but we will either stop at a local vineyard or they will come to Channels to make a presentation for our group.
What if I have dietary requirements or food allergies?
Please advise Vino Velo at the time of booking and all within our control to accommodate requests will be done.
What sort of accommodation can we expect?
The groups will have rooms at the comfortable 4 star Channels Boutique Hotel. Refurbished in 2022 it is the perfect place to unwind after a day in the saddle.
What size group can you accommodate?
Our maximum is 10 riders and minimum would be 8 riders.
Will the wines be available for purchase after the tasting?
Yes, arrangements and purchasing can be made via the vineyard / wine merchant.
How much do I need to pay?
The price of the tours start at £595 per person (plus VAT). This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner (day 1) and breakfast with a morning coffee stop (day 2).
